4 Ways A Swinger Board Can Help A Retail Establishment

A swinger board makes an ideal sidewalk sign for enhancing a company’s brand recognition, traffic, and customer awareness. Finding innovative ways to use these beneficial marketing tools can help retail establishments in a number of ways.

1. Direct traffic

Many motorists find company listings on the Internet or through local referrals. Even though the motorist may have the establishment’s address in hand, finding the front door may be another story. This is one area where swinger boards come in handy as sidewalk signs. Placing the board in a convenient, nearby location can direct traffic to the storefront. Recommended locations include on a high-traffic corner, on a nearby curb, or directly in front of the company’s front door.

A swinger board that optimizes this purpose can include a company logo, brand recognition tools like font and coloring, plus a large arrow. The arrow can distinctly point customers in the correct direction. Customers will appreciate this added convenience. When a customer notices and appreciates the time and effort put forth by a retail establishment, they are more than likely to show their appreciation in the form of increased sales.

2. Extend available resources

Most retail establishments searches for ways to stretch available financial resources. The swinger board fits the bill. The board is a multi-use marketing tool. Boards can easily be lifted and transported to appropriate locations. The board can have a long useful life due to its durable and sturdy composition. It can withstand inclement weather, making it perfect for windy or rainy days when other flimsy signs will fall apart. Sign messages can be changed as needed to fit appropriate situations. Boards and lettering can be bought on sale and extend the mighty dollar even further. Companies do not have to buy multiple signs to convey different messages. Instead, they can purchase one swinger board and use it as needed.

3. Promote image

Successful retail establishments realize the importance of bringing in customers by having a professional appearance and image. Professionalism enhances confidence, trust, and loyalty in customers. All three of these customer traits improve sales, referrals and reputation. Sign customers who place a large quantity order may find customization the ideal solution. A customized swinger board can be all that is needed to show others that the company is a professional entity worthy of customer trust and dollars.  This powerful marketing tool can best be developed by dealing with sign professionals who have experience in how these tools can be used to optimize a company’s message, image, and brand recognition.

4. By its versatility

The foundation of a swinger board is its versatility. Messages can be seen from both side of the sign, making them ideal for traffic from both directions. This includes both pedestrian and motorist traffic. Lettering can be changed on a daily basis. It can be used to highlight one-day only specials or unadvertised special deals. Colors can be changed to fit needs and company promotions.

Making the decision to buy a swinger board can seem confusing or creatively difficult. Consulting with a sign professional, like Signs Direct, who understands the intricacies of signs and marketing messages can be the best decision a company makes.

How Color Plays A Role In Sidewalk Signs

sidewalk signs
Share

Colors have always played an important role in the marketing world. Retailers associate colors with social messages to improve traffic, conversion rate and profits. When used properly, they can increase customer spending. When used ineffectively, spending decreases. Learning how colors of sidewalk signs affect people can help a retail establishment prosper.

Red
Red is known as the color of passion. Establishments that want to use a sidewalk sign to promote high-energy, vibrant products or services will improve lead generation by using red as the main color. Red and romance go hand-in-hand. Consider using vibrant red lettering to draw attention. Having a red background with colorful images will increase awareness. When using a red background, be sure that print stands out and is readable from across the street. This improves traffic to the store.

Sometimes red can cause shoppers to put up a shield and close their pocketbooks. When used improperly, red triggers consumers to be more cautious about buying the firm’s products or services. Working with a sign expert can be a determining factor whether red is being used properly or being overdone.

Black
Black is a traditional color for signs of all types, including sidewalk signs. Many consumers prefer traditional methods and develop a loyalty for stores that used them. According to marketing studies, black has a reputation for inspiring feelings of trust. It supplies an air of sophistication and elegance to products and services. Cosmetic manufacturers have been using this inside trick for ages. Low cost products dominate the upper scale makeup counters simply because they are packaged as upscale and have a higher price tag attached. They instill a feeling of living the high life.

Pink
Pink is an interesting color. Numerous studies, both by marketing and psychological experts, have shown it has a calming effect on people. It slows the endocrine system down. This means that consumers are more willing to spend money on products and services that use this color throughout its marketing tools. Spending will be less painful. Interesting enough, seeing pink actually has a tranquilizing effect on tight muscles.

Green
Think of green and visions of helping the environment come to mind. Green is naturally associated with the ecologically minded products and businesses. Use this color to promote green living products and services. Not all green products are eco-friendly. Retail establishments need to inform customers of this if the case applies.

White
White is the color of simplicity in the branding world. Consumers associate this color with purity, honesty and modernization. Not only does it signify these things, but a sidewalk sign with a white background can be very easy to read. This improves traffic flow into the storefront.

Yellow
Yellow is perfect for eating establishments. This color has a reputation for increasing energy levels and whetting appetites. Fast food restaurants have known for this for years and take full advantage of the fact. Using yellow as the background color for an eatery’s sidewalk sign is the perfect way to optimize this appetite-related shade.

The psychology of color is a fascinating topic in the marketing world. Optimizing this field can improve brand loyalty, awareness, and profitability. Working with a trained sign professional can lay the foundation for overall success.

6 Factors In Choosing Ideal Sandwich Board Signs

sandwich board signs
Share

Sandwich Board signs are not to be taken lightly. When used properly, they can direct a retail establishment toward success. When used improperly, they can spell disaster. Learning about the factors below, and efficiently implementing them, is crucial.

1. Consider climate

Weather will be a deciding factor in which materials to choose for your sign. Placing an a-frame sidewalk sign that is not properly weighted down will be fruitless during windy days. Signs that swing in the wind or that have a strong, weighted foundation would better serve the purpose. As another example, chalk will not do well in rain or wet weather. Properly fitted plastic lettering would do better during wet weather forecasts. Taking weather into consideration is crucial for choosing the ideal sidewalk sign.

2. Check with zoning laws

Zoning laws determine what is acceptable and what is unacceptable as far as public signs are concern. Laws will specify size, location, and message limitations. Failing to comply with applicable zoning ordinances can result in punitive damages. Punitive damages can include fines, penalties, sign removal or other measures deemed necessary.

3. Go for variety

Having a variety of sidewalk signs available will serve many purposes. In days of troubling weather, you can choose a weather-appropriate sign. Temporary signs fit in perfectly for changing specials, announcements, or other information on a whim. Materials can range from plastic lettering to chalk. Having sidewalk signs with permanent message are ideal for improving loyalty, lead generation, and convenience.

Many sign manufacturers offer discounts for multiple purchases. Taking advantage of these special pricing options can prove worthwhile for any retail establishment.

4. Consider hours

Consider what hours the sidewalk sign will be in usage. Having a chalkboard sandwich board during evening hours, for instance, will be pointless. An LED message board that lights up would be more appropriate for these hours. Chalkboard sandwich boards are ideal during daylight hours.

5. Consider budget

Sidewalk signs come in all sizes, shapes, and materials. These factors determine the costs involved. A firm understanding about how much money is available is needed before choosing any sign. Having a set budget for signage, and staying within it, will spell success and hinder disaster.

6. Consider location

Many communities take pride in maintaining a certain type of atmosphere or specific ambiance. Choosing a sidewalk sign that does not fit in with the location can ruin a retail establishment’s reputation with the local community and industry, harm sales, and cause legal problems. Having a large brightly lit LED sidewalk sign may fit in perfectly on the Vegas strip, for instance, but it will be totally inappropriate for the small town walkable community.

When choosing a sidewalk sign make certain size or location will not hinder any traffic flow, both pedestrian and motorist-wise. Nothing is more frustrating than having to maneuver around a misplaced sign. Sidewalks need to provide a continuous walking path without distractions or altered routes. Pedestrians must be able to access adjacent sidewalks, side streets and surrounding buildings. Having a sign disrupt traffic flow can hinder a company’s reputation, loyalty, brand awareness, and sales. It can signify disaster.

Sidewalk signs can play an important role in a retail establishment’s marketing strategy. Consulting with a sign professional can be a wise business decision to save time, money, and resources.

Protecting Customers With Custom Metal Signs

custom metal signs
Share

Custom metal signs can be made of varying sizes, materials, fonts, and coloring. Keeping customers safe needs to be a number one priority for retail establishments of all sizes. This article will discuss some ways these signs can be used to protect customers.

In restrooms
Restrooms can be breeding grounds for bacteria, germs and other microscopic organisms which can harm anyone’s health. Keeping restrooms clean and safe can help protect a firm in a number of ways. It lowers the likelihood of customers suing the company for unsanitary conditions, which are not in compliance with OSHA requirements. It protects a customer’s health. Clean restrooms can protect employees by promoting good health habits that prevent spreading airborne diseases in the workplace.

A company can use custom metal signs to emphasize good hand washing techniques. This can be done by placing the sign above the hand dryer or towel dispenser. Adding the company logo and favorite coloring onto the sign will provide customization and improve brand awareness.

Placing a custom metal sign above the disposal container for used feminine hygiene products will lower the likelihood of customers throwing items into the garbage can.  This practice is unsanitary and worthy of a citation by the local health department. Check OSHA laws to be certain, but these disposal containers may be a requirement that all retail establishments must abide by or face possible punitive damages.

Customers like to know that workers are using sanitary practices. It promotes good will, a concern for both customer and workplace safety and can be the foundation for a positive reputation throughout the community. Placing a custom metal sign that lists good hygiene habits for employees to follow is one way to express this concern to both the public and workforce. Customizing the sign’s shape to fit perfectly into the appropriate area will go far for getting the message across.

By entrances
Custom metal signs placed by a retail establishment’s entrance point can serve a variety of purposes. The sign can promote a daily special, a limited time only offer, or welcome the customer into the venue. A welcoming sign that uses a familiar company logo and font will improve brand awareness. It may even improve lead generation and conversion rates.

The entrance may be the beginning of the checkout area in a particular department. Custom metal signs optimally placed can direct customers to waiting lines and areas. Free-standing signs that contain customized arrows or pointed fingers will direct customers in the proper direction. That sign can be all that is needed to avoid confusion and keep customers safe.

Possible hazards
Every retail establishment at some time faces a potential health hazard. Whether it is something spilled onto the floor by a customer or employee, wet floors due to rainy weather outside being carried into the store, or low-hanging merchandise, companies must inform customers about these hazards. Custom metal signs that notify customers of impending low-hanging merchandise for instance will serve notice that the individual must be on heightened awareness.

Placing a wet area sign that is customized with the establishment’s coloring and font will serve notice that individuals in the area must be on heightened alert to walk safely or avoid the area.

A retail establishment that places customer safety as a number one priority will be laying the foundation for years of success. It helps improve customer loyalty, lead generation, reputation and profitability.

5 Factors To Consider When Using Custom Metal Signs At Point of Purchase Sites

custom metal signs
Share

Point of purchase locations are areas where people congregate to purchase goods or services. Custom metal signs fit in perfectly with these locations since people have available time to read information. If used properly, these signs can improve profitability and overall operations. If used improperly, they can be a waste of money. Learn how to use these signs to achieve success by following the below recommendations.

1. Check positioning
Firms can spend a fortune on designing and perfecting a custom metal sign, but if the sign is not optimally placed, it will fail. Take a look at some popular checkout points in a big box retailer, for instance. Are there signs on the checkout counter that are not facing the waiting line? The signs may inadvertently be facing the cashiers or employees. When this happens, it defeats the purpose of the sign.

Take the time to make certain a sign is properly positioned. Check periodically throughout the workday for optimum exposure. Include this task in the employee to do list to assure overall success.

2. Consider height
Many people will quickly lose interest if a sign requires extra effort to read. Placing the sign at, or near, eye-level will heighten exposure. Viewers will easily be able to read what message is being conveyed. Having a sign placed at eye level or an equivalent height will enhance brand awareness, customer response rate, and potential lead generation. Point of purchase signs that require customers to bend, stoop, or look upwards for extended times will decrease the effectiveness.

3. Place near promotional items
Nothing is more effective than a well-positioned point of purchase sign placed near promotions, special deals, or one-time lead generators. Big box retailers have optimized this marketing strategy tool for years. Look at any check register area, for instance. Successful retailers will optimize this marketing strategy by surrounding the checkout point with numerous, but well-placed promotions and signs. A colorful, efficiently sized sign with bold print will draw attention to the item and can easily bring customers in from other store departments.

4. Consider the size
Size plays a crucial role in how successful a custom metal sign is for point of purchase sites. Signs that are too large or too small can be more of a distraction than benefit to the company. An improper size can easily cause customer frustration and decreased sales. Customers may even talk with friends and associates about how a certain company uses inappropriate sign sizes. This can hinder sales, referrals, and possibly the firm’s reputation.

5. Be eye-appealing
Nothing sparks customer curiosity more than seeing an appealing point of purchase sign. It can turn a die-hard browser into a paying customer at the blink of an eye. Having a company logo, coloring, and wording all mixed together into one eye-appealing message will add to the ambiance, customer satisfaction rate, and brand awareness.

Custom metal signs provide a number of options for point of purchase sites. Working with a sign professional who has experience in designing eye-appealing point of purchase signs can be one of the best decisions a retail establishment makes.

3 Point of Purchase Secrets Using Custom Metal Signs

custom metal signs
Share

Point of purchase sales relies upon customers making impulse buys. All retail establishments must optimize this key component to improve profits, customer satisfaction, and lead generation. Implement the following three secrets while using custom metal signs to satisfy your customers and your business model.

1. Design a memorable sign
Most signs are rectangular with standardized fonts like Times New Roman or Arial. Set your firm apart from the competition by making your custom metal sign stand out in the viewer’s mind. A uniquely designed sign can easily improve traffic to your store and ultimately improve your POP sales. Design your unique sign using interesting shapes, colors, and fonts. Instead of rectangular shaping choose a circle, octagon, crescent, or other favorable alternative.

Use your company colors and logo when designing your sign. This improves brand recognition and lead generation. Placing your company logo on one of the sign’s corners is a sure-fire way to draw attention to your business. You may also find that using your logo as the backdrop to your sign message will work well for improving exposure.

Consider using a fun and whimsical font that sparks interest and draws attention. As whimsical as a font can be, however, remember to be certain it is easy to read. Customers do not want to work at finding information about a business. The best way to determine the readability of a new font is by testing it out. Make a prototype of the sign and place it in the preferred location. Have employees or friends view the sign from a number of areas and distances to test the readability factor. A whimsical font that is nonreadable in regular case may simply need to be put in bold to make it user-friendly.

2. Optimize sign placement
Once you have designed a memorable custom metal sign, optimize its placement to improve traffic and POP possibilities. Check with your local zoning ordinances to see what is needed to place a curbside sign. Curbside signs can direct potential customers into your retail establishment’s parking lot. Once in the parking lot, use another metal sign to direct customers to your storefront.

Metal signs are perfect ways to bring attention to your store, both from the outside and inside. Once in your store, use a smaller metal sign to highlight daily specials. Place these signs at checkout counters or throughout your store’s interior. Marketing studies reveal that optimal point-of-purchase signs are placed at eye level. Use this to your advantage by placing signs near sale and impulse-buying items.

3. Find complementary merchandise
A key element of point-of-purchase sales is complementary merchandise. When a customer is interested in a main item, many available items will easily fit in with the need. Find these items and make certain your customers know about them by promoting the items with a custom metal sign nearby. In addition to using the signs to highlight merchandise, train employees to cross-promote products.

Point of purchase sales can occur on the same day or be used to entice a visitor to return on another day. When used effectively, a strong point of purchase program can spur customers to come back for more great sales opportunities. Working with a sign professional can be a good decision for designing the custom metal sign of your dreams.

Why Use Sandwich Boards To Improve Traffic

sandwich boards
Share

Sandwich boards are those signs that resemble two pieces of bread in a sandwich. The feet can lightly be dug into the ground or easily placed on any firm surface. Boards can be constructed of various materials. Sometimes termed as “A” boards, these signs have played a vital role in commerce since the early days. When used effectively, these advertising tools can improve your lead generation and conversion rates. Read below to find out how.

They project a simpler time

Many people associate sandwich boards with a more simpler and less rushed time of life. A well-designed sign is relaxing and informative to read. It brings character to the neighborhood. People will enjoy stopping and reflecting on the sign’s message. Getting back to basics is becoming more popular by the day. There is no better way to bring on a homespun simplicity theme than by using a sandwich board as part of a firm’s marketing strategy.

They highlight creativity

Some sandwich boards, especially those constructed of a chalkboard, can show potential customers the creativity level of the business. Chalkboards provide a drawing easel for different chalk colors, designs, and artistry that cannot be found on electronic advertising tools. Sandwich boards placed outside of restaurants, for instance, can list featured menu items with drawings that stimulate interest. Creativity always brings in customers.

They are portable

Sandwich boards can easily be moved to fit the firm’s needs. Instead of being affixed to one site, the board can be taken to trade shows, meetings, conferences, presentations or other appropriate events. They can be placed in high foot and vehicle traffic areas. Sandwich boards are an innovative quick fix that can conveniently bring in new traffic.

They offer versatility

Sandwich boards come in a variety of styles and materials. Some can be constructed with a water base that makes tipping over nearly impossible. These fit in perfectly for use in high wind areas. Boards can be constructed of wood, chalk, aluminum, or plastic. Choosing an antiquated style will strike a nerve with those wanting a more classic and elegant tone of advertising. These signs are ideal for antique shops, consignment shops, tea parlors and other similar venues. Some firms may prefer a dry erase board that can easily be erased and reused. Still other firms may prefer the “lift up and drop in” feature that some boards offer. It all depends upon finding the board that meets the company’s needs and personality.

They are budget friendly

Sandwich boards offer something for all business budgets. These marketing tools come in different sizes, materials, colors, and prices. Businesses are looking to improve exposure while cutting costs. Sandwich boards are cost-efficient tools that enhance any marketing strategy.

They enhance marketing

Any successful business realizes the importance of having a well-rounded marketing program consisting of both permanent and temporary signs. A sandwich board can be used as a temporary sign that can easily be moved at the end of the event or day. The board can also be used as a supplement to permanent signs. The more ways a business finds to use a sandwich board, the greater its value in the firm’s marketing program.

Sandwich boards provide an ideal way to improve traffic to any firm. Deciding upon which sandwich board works well for your business can be confusing, however. Consulting with a trained sign professional will be your best bet.

Stop Crime With No Trespassing Signs

The Value of No Trespassing Signs and No Loitering Signs

Both trespassing and loitering signs are commonplace in cities and towns nationwide, but the reasons for these warnings are often overlooked by the casual passerby or business owner who may or may not be aware of the important roles they play in the enforcement of the law. Both signs are effective and preventative measures for residents and business owners to take up against unwanted or unsightly activities they feel inhibits the safety of the property or the rights they are entitled to by law. Potential criminal activities can be deterred by these otherwise unassuming signs through unique loopholes in the local laws which state that such warnings must be expressly given to the general public before any trespassing or loitering can become a punishable offense. Store owners will find more success posting a No Loitering sign in front of their business than they would simply monitoring the area themselves, while No Trespassing signs along the perimeters of private property successfully deter the majority of trespasses by the general public who might be inclined to breach your private property if such an explicit warning has not been given.

An Effective Measure

Local laws typically stipulate different penalties and perjuries depending on whether or not a warning or forbiddance was given; ignorance of a homeowner’s private property or a business owner’s preference against loitering is often excuse enough to break through such comfort zones and engage in both trespassing and loitering. The presence of trespassing and loitering warnings give business owners and residents the legal authority to fine or penalize someone who lingers around the building or home, or enters into areas the public is not welcome. Local police departments recognize the authority of these signs in ways that they might not recognize the unsaid authority of a person’s property, and it’s this proclivity for clearly printed, publicly displayed warnings that have made such signs so effective. No loitering signs in particular are good preventative measures to take for store owners tired of people crowding around their establishment, potentially deterring new customers and damaging the environment with cycling, skateboarding, gum, trash, and other accumulations that inevitably collect when people are allowed to hang their hats without recourse. Trespassing signs can alert citizens and criminals alike that a property or area is private and off limits to them, which similarly allows the owner of the property to prosecute the trespasser should the warning be infringed upon.

The Ordinance

The success of No Trespassing signs and No Loitering signs depends on the resident or business owner’s understanding of the local ordinances. A sign that is old, faded, and illegible will often not qualify as a legal deterrent, and it cannot be used in future prosecutions when a property is trespassed upon or loitered around. Many territories also require written agreements between the property owner and the local police department in the event that the owner seeks to prosecute a bystander who neglects the sign. For this reason, signs should be well maintained, bright, clean, visible, and prominently displayed in front of the concerning area. Property owners must abide by these ordinances in order to successfully utilize any No Trespassing or No Loitering sign, and a failure to do so will result in an ineffectual warning and a potential trespass or loitering that the property owner will be unable to successfully take action against.

Street Signs or Art

street signs
Share

From a young age, the image of traditional street signs is tied to a reaction in developing brains – even children that aren’t able to read yet can tell that a red octagon means “stop” and a green traffic light means “go.” While this makes for excellent safety habits in these same young children, age and repetition can cause the true impact of these signs to fade into the background for adults. Cities are stepping up with a unique solution, responding to the gradual muting of these messages by handing over street signs to artists for inspired, unexpected makeovers.

Honk Honk Haikus
One of the early adopters of the artist-as-urban-planner, New York made headlines last year with an unusual series of brightly-colored traffic signs that emphasized concepts like bike lane etiquette and the importance of crosswalks. Using a palette of sorbet neons and smart, witty haikus about traffic just below, each of artist John Morse’s creations helps deliver a message to some of the most harried pedestrians and drivers in the nation. While these tongue-in-cheek takes might never entirely replace their more commonplace black and yellow brethren in New York City, they do provide an excellent reminder that tends to stay with the viewer.

Surprise Poetry
Across the country, an LA artist named Rebecca Lowry is posting poetry for poetry’s sake. Using colors and fonts more suited to the stern regulations and warnings found on street signs, Lowry instead crafts sublime little poems that catch their readers off guard. One such sign eloquently requests company for a lonely autumn evening, looking at a glance like any other informative street sign. These interesting installments, found throughout West Hollywood, are a reminder to stop and consider what is being viewed, an encouragement to digest as much as consume the words on the street signs we follow each day.

Guerrilla Signage
While some street sign transformations are sanctioned by local officials, others are done on the sly by creative spirits that some call artists and others call vandals. These alterations can be as drastic as installing a new sign made to resemble an official one, or as simple as the addition of a few vinyl stickers to add a funny twist to a familiar icon. A group of artists calling themselves TrustoCorp has secretly installed signs in a handful of city locales, admonishing passerby to adhere to the “Obesity Zone” they’re passing through, or informing them that there is “No Snitching Allowed” in the immediate vicinity. These signs use red, white, black, and yellow schemes to blend in as official-looking until they’re examined more closely. Typically, these signs are removed fairly quickly after they’re discovered, making them an interesting temporary art show in the interim.

As metropolitan areas grow more visually cluttered with statements and rules printed on signs, an artistic twist – sanctioned or not – can be a real breath of fresh air. The antidote to some distraction may be as simple as a larger sign or brighter paint, but a complete overhaul at the hands of an artist can turn a simple street sign into something that makes a truly lasting impact on everyone.

No Bullying School Zone Signs

No Bullying School Zone Signs
Share

According to recent studies, a whopping 71% of school-going children report that bullying is a problem at their school. Almost 60% having actually witnessed some kind of bullying happening in front of them with a further 75% of all school-related shootings documented as being a result of bullying at school. These numbers are beyond frightening, and in recent years, school violence, shootings and hectic bullying behavior are issues that are making front page news far too often.

There are five key issues involved in tackling the bullying problem:

1. Where is the violence coming from?

Schools are taking steps to protect students and to gain control of bullying in schools, which as it has come to light, is a much more serious problem than anybody ever realized. School violence is on the rise, and it is a catastrophic combination of socio-economic and harassment issues stemming from both home and school that are contributing factors to a situation that has the potential to spiral out of control.

2. Protecting our kids

Schools have started implementing all sorts of programs across the US, in an effort to bring this horrendous situation under control and to bring down the number from almost 300,000 bullying victims a year to a flat zero. Signs strongly forbidding bullying are becoming a regular sight at schools, libraries, parks, gyms, computer classes, rec rooms and playgrounds. It’s a huge bid to highlight the effects of bullying, helping kids identify bullying behavior and opening up, owning up and reporting it.

3. Learning how to cope

The more awareness there is, the more education there is, the more that schools, parents and kids talk about and address the issues, the quicker change will come about, and the quicker that shocking number will fall. Bullying was never such a visible subject as it is these days, and schools are finally coming to the party, providing resources, support and education to kids of all ages in an attempt to clean up the classrooms and the playgrounds so that they don’t turn into war zones.

4. Where change needs to happen

Instead of kids skipping class and staying home, just to avoid confrontation and violence at school, there needs to be a procedure in place so that kids can feel safe by reporting the issues at hand. Kids who bully need serious support, help, and rehabilitation to ensure that they don’t evolve from the aggressive playground bully into a violent criminal offender as an adult; just as much as the victims of bullies need support, counseling and rehabilitation themselves. Families need to be brought in, communities need to come together, and with the right amount of control, pressure from the right people and support from the authorities, bullies will lose their power forever.

5. The No Bully Zone

With no bully and bully free school zone signs being placed in visible areas where kids and teens spend the majority of their time, they will have an ever present and constant reminder of the serious implications of bullying. This and other interventions are being put into place as part of a movement to bring the humiliation, pain and suffering to an end before it gets any worse.
